Taking the broken pieces in art to make something new, is something that Jesus always does with us, when we turn to Him, He restores us and changes our lives.

For the past 20 years I worked in safeguarding, and after a difficult day I would always feel better after taking some time out to be creative and express myself. A few years ago I took some evening classes in stained glass and found that during this time I really met with God, I felt he helped to take the broken glass resembling the broken parts of my life and helped me to put them back together to make something beautiful. God showed me that what I saw in my imperfections in art were precious to him, because it was the process and spending time with Him that mattered and I didn’t need to compare myself to others.

During lockdown I found one of the best ways to cope was using creativity. As we returned to normal life and the business of work, I found it hard to cope with all the pressures, I found using my imagination and being creative was a healing process.

Come and join us for this mosaic workshop! No experience is necessary, just come with enthusiasm and imagination. I will provide you with a selection of different boards and mosaic tiles made from glass and ceramics, and show you how to make a mosaic, we will have some gentle music on in the background. If you would prefer to bring your own board or a tray or a ceramic pot then feel free to bring them with you and use can use that to create your mosaic on instead.

Take this time to pray and reflect and allow God to show you what to make. He will take the broken pieces of glass and ceramics and create a beautiful picture with you.
