Four Gospels, One Jesus (ACT715)
Tuesday 21st 4pm - Friday 24th May 2024
Led by Steve Wood
The four Gospels have been included in the canon of the New Testament from the beginning. There has never been a doubt that they belong there. But why four Gospels?
There is a basic harmony between the accounts of Jesus life recorded in the four Gospels. They agree on many of the details. Yet each Gospel presents a distinctive view of Jesus. Each of them makes a unique witness to Jesus which when joined together gives us a complete picture of who Jesus is.
In this study course we will explore the storyline, themes, focal points, and purpose of each Gospel in their portrayal of Jesus of Nazareth.Notes and further reading /study recommendations will be provided.
Steve is a member of the events team at Ashburnham, and with his wife Eve co-hosts the Time-Out breaks. He studied theology at Heythrop College (University of London), gaining a BA(Hons) in Biblical Studies and an MA in Christian Theology.
