Orangery Tea Room

Orangery Notice

To all our community of faithful Orangery Tea Room customers. Very sadly we have taken the decision to close with immediate effect. We have tried over the last week to remain open as we appreciate that the Orangery is a respite place for our community to gather and encourage one another in these difficult times. However our priority is the protection of our staff and you our guests, we feel with the escalation of the virus this risk is now too high. We appreciate this is upsetting and we hope to be able to open again as soon as possible. We will miss you all and will be praying for all our guests and local community at this challenging time

In the summer of 2013 The Orangery Tea Room was established serving the highest quality teas and coffees alongside fresh, locally sourced food. The spectacular Orangery, designed in 1777 by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, houses delicate plants of many kinds including the oldest camellia in the country. The Tea Rooms are open to the public and guests can make use of the Tea Room at any point during their stay.

We are open:

Monday - Closed
Tuesday – Sunday: 10.30am – 5.00pm

If you're looking to book an Afternoon Tea or a Large Group during the week please advise us of that you're coming by calling 01424 894203. (During Tea Room opening hours).

Unfortunately, we only allow guide dogs / assistance dogs. Our grounds are designated as a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and we do not allow dogs in the grounds due to this.

“Lovely surroundings. Great for lunch or tea and cake. It's great to walk round the grounds as well. The orangery is very well run. I would highly recommend it.”
