Our church weekend was the best we have had for years. The location, the facilities and the staff were outstanding. We can't wait to come back next year.

Visiting Us

Our grounds and the Orangery tea room will be open as of Tuesday 12th January 2021.

We're open Tuesday - Sunday 9am - 3pm.

Many of our customers have asked if they could come and take their daily exercise in our beautiful grounds and we are pleased to confirm this can happen as of next Tuesday.

Please stay local and only come and visit in line with the Government lockdown guidelines.

The Orangery will be serving hot and cold drinks, as well as an extended range of cakes to take away and enjoy in our grounds or at your home.

If you'd like to make a donation whilst you're here to help with our running costs you can do that in the Orangery. We thank you for your support.

Please wear a mask in the tea room when you order and we are taking card payments only.

We look forward to seeing you really soon.....

Stay safe friends.

In the summer of 2013 The Orangery Tea Room was established serving the highest quality teas and coffees alongside fresh, locally sourced food. The spectacular Orangery, designed in 1777 by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, houses delicate plants of many kinds including the oldest camellia in the country. The Tea Rooms are open to the public and guests can make use of the Tea Room at any point during their stay.

We only allow guide dogs/assistance dogs onsite, as our grounds are designated as a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and we do not allow dogs in the grounds due to this.

“Lovely surroundings. Great for lunch or tea and cake. It's great to walk round the grounds as well. The orangery is very well run. I would highly recommend it.”
