Marquee Users Guide

Ashburnham Christian Trust (ACT) is pleased to offer the use of their 12m x 27m Clearspan Marquee to groups each year between April and October. This space has been created to serve our guests, providing a flexible and spacious venue for gatherings, meetings, worship, and other events.

The Marquee is equipped with the following

Marquee opening hours

To support respectful use of the grounds and to honour quiet hours for guests and neighbour’s:

Emergencies

In case of emergency, the group is to leave by the Emergency Exit (Main Entrance), or as directed by stewards and congregate in the Welcome Courtyard. Ashburnham Place’s Duty Manager is to be informed as soon as practically possible.

Using the Marquee

In order to ensure the marquee remains in good condition and continues to serve our guests well, the use of the marquee is subject to the following:

Sound volume and neighbour relations

Ashburnham Place is set within a quiet rural location, and we value our positive relationship with neighbours and the wider village.

To safeguard this good relationship the following applies:

Please note:
We reserve the right to withdraw use of the marquee’s amplified sound system at any time if we believe local relationships are being compromised or if legal noise levels are being breached.

Opening and Closing the Marquee

To protect the marquee from weather damage and ensure basic overnight security, we ask that guest groups nominate a person(s) to close the marquee at the end of each day. This is to include, fastening any panels opened for ventilation and sealing the doors with the ropes through the eyelet fixings and then securing with the horizontal bar at the base. Leaving the marquee open or unsealed overnight risks water and wind ingress and compromises the integrity of the space.

PA Systems and IT equipment

Provided is a Yamaha Stagepass 600BT PA system with 10 channels and 680 watts of output, ideal for spoken word and an acoustic instrument set. It also has a bluetooth connection to play streamed music.

Groups needing a more professional-level or high-output worship setups may bring their own system, providing that they:
1. Notify Ashburnham Place in advance.
2. Do not unplug, rewire, or alter any of the existing setup (TVs, lights, PA equipment, or power sources) without prior consent from the Ashburnham Place team.
3. Do not exceed 100dB (decibel) sound at any time.
