SUMMARY:At the Threshold
DESCRIPTION:A space to slow down\, be still\, and notice – to listen to your soul\, to nature\, to friend and stranger\, and to the Divine within and beyond.\n\n\n  \nAt The Threshold (ACT881) \nTues 19th – Fri 22nd January 2027 \nLed by Anna Robinson \nWinter marks the start of the year in the Celtic calendar. It is a time of stillness\, reflection\, and quiet beginnings\, as the earth rests and life prepares to awaken. Spring is traditionally marked on February 1st – St Brigid’ Day\, when snowdrops\, daffodils\, and primroses begin to push through the soil\, and the returning light signals the gradual stirring of new life. Yet winter still holds with long nights and frosts alongside Springs slow return – it is a threshold moment between endings and beginnings. \nThis retreat draws on the theme of thresholds. As Irish poet and philosopher John O’Donohue wrote\, “A threshold is not a simple boundary: it is a frontier that divides two different territories\, rhythms and atmospheres.” Crossing a threshold asks for courage and a deep trust in the goodness within and around us as the new and unknown unfolds. \nThe retreat is designed for those on a faith-shifting journey\, who may no longer fit where they once belonged or who find themselves in liminal spaces\, moving from certainty toward embracing mystery. It offers a space to slow down\, be still\, and notice – to listen to your soul\, to nature\, to friend and stranger\, and to the Divine within and beyond. We draw on the beautiful grounds and nature at Ashburnham Place\, the concept of thresholds and the story of Brigid as a threshold figure in the Celtic Imagination. \nHosted by Anna Robinson\, one of the hosts of the Nomad Podcast and curator of monthly meditations\, and LiveLight|DwellDeep founder\, where she facilitates discussion groups\, online mini-retreats throughout the year\, and in-person contemplative retreats for reflection\, connection\, exploration\, and rest. Anna draws on mystical and contemplative Christian traditions to guide participants in connecting more deeply with themselves\, the season\, and their own sense of the sacred. \nFor more information on this retreat and other seasonal offerings\, or to join us on the journey\, please visit Livelightdwelldeep.org \nTO BOOK please call our Bookings Team on 01424 894201 or click on the link to book online \nSingle Occupancy £354.00 per person \nShared Occupancy £306.00 per person
