Chef de partie (Paid Position)

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a talented, enthusiastic, motivated and creative modern chef to join Ashburnham place as Chef de partie.

This is an ideal role for a current Chef de partie or experienced Commis chef who is looking for their first Chef de partie position; you will be working closely with our Head chef & Sous chef. This is a great chance to continue to learn in a busy kitchen with support from a team with a vast amount of experience.

The ideal candidate will have some experience and be willing to work in all aspects of the kitchen, from hot section through to pastry. This is an exciting time to join the team at Ashburnham as we seek to continue improving our entire food offering, ensuring we meet and exceed all our guests' expectations with delicious, creative and thoughtful food which is seasonal and local where possible. 

The role requires the person to have knowledge of and have sympathy with the Christian faith.

This position can be either live in or out with the salary reflected accordingly.

Resource Assistant (Voluntary Position)

  • Pastoral care for Catalyst trainees
  • Develoop a creative & sustainable rhythm of prayer & worship.
  • 24/7 Prayer Centre supervisor
A vacancy has arisen for a live-in voluntary role (preferably a husband and wife) of Resource Assistants. We would love a self motivated, pastoral couple who are passionate for Jesus to join our Resource Team.

Function: Pastoral & administration support. Prayer, worship & training development for Ashburnham Place community. 

Contract Length: The role is for 12 months. To be reviewed after 4 months. 

Role Purpose: The broad purpose of the role is to work as part of the Resource Team to enable the ongoing care of the community (as a priority), guests, local community & those in need. With a passion for pastoral care & great administration skills they will work on facilitating the prayer & worship life at Ashburnham Place.

Critical Success Factors  1. Special focus is given to pastoral care for Catalyst trainees (18-27yr olds). (Being present to the community) 2. A creative & sustainable rhythm of prayer & worship for the whole community is developed. (strategy) 3. The Prayer Centre is maintained as an exciting hub for prayer & worship activities around the year for the local area, the UK & beyond. 

The role is 35 hours a week including some evenings and weekends. Details and a full job specification are available on request.

Painting Decorator (Voluntary Position)

Be part of the Team Painting and Decorator Have you a few hours a week spare and you would enjoy bringing part of our decorating team at Ashburnham Place?

We have a small team of dedicated volunteer decorators who have been responsible for most of the room refurbishments over the past four years who are looking to expand their numbers. You would be working as part of a small team headed up by an experienced professional. No previous experience is necessary, as full training and supervision would be given.
