Groups - Meeting Rooms

We understand that a comfortable and flexible meeting space makes all the difference for groups wanting to come away and have an impacting time together.  We offer 6 well-equipped and beautiful conference rooms in the original house which retain the ambience of a former stately home and a further 3 meeting rooms a short walk from the accommodation areas and main house.  These rooms can seat from 25 to 180 people and all are completely flexible in their layout.  All meeting rooms are equipped with a TV/DVD player, flipchart, paper & pens and a lectern. Tables and a Yamaha Clavinova electric piano or keyboard can also be provided on request. The meeting rooms in the main house are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible.

In addition, the Church Hall can sometimes be booked by groups, especially for those wishing to pray overnight.  It has a capacity of 30

Meeting Rooms

Great Hall

  • Seats 180 guests
  • 6 channel audio system including a hearing aid induction loop
  • 2 flat screens to project from laptop at either front or back of meeting room
  • Open fires available
The Great Hall is our largest conference room with seating for up to 180 guests. It has stunning views from the four large windows overlooking the lakes and woodland. There are also two magnificent fireplaces available for guest use by prior arrangement.

John Ashburnham Room

  • Seats up to 30 guests
  • Various room layout options
  • Suitable for workshops and children's activities (such as crafts).
  • Open fire available (October - March, when pre-booked)
The John Ashburnham Room is next to the Great Hall which makes it an ideal break-out room for up to 30. There are wonderful views over the lake and woods and a large open fire place for guest use. The room can be laid for presentations with rows of chairs for up to 30 people, as a board room for 20 people, with occasional tables, chairs for social events and workshops, 20 people or as an empty room.

The Fernery

  • Seats up to 60 guests
  • Flat screen TV
  • Small ante-room suitable for personal ministry
  • Beautiful views
The Fernery was the original private sitting room for the former Earls of Ashburnham. It now seats 60, and is suitable as a smaller alternative to the Great Hall. The ceiling is a particularly fine example of early 19th century plaster work undertaken by the distinguished architect George Dance the Younger.

The Willow Lounge

  • Seats up to 20 guests
  • A comfortable lounge-type environment
  • Open fire available
The Willow Lounge sits between the Great Hall and The Fernery. It can accommodate 20 and is furnished with a plasma screen, comfortable sofas and chairs and small coffee tables making it ideal as a lounge, break-out room or informal meeting room. It is a cosy and comfortable place to chat in the winter months around the open fire that is available for guests by prior arrangement.

The West Room

  • Seats up to 50 guests
  • Can be laid out with rows of chairs for presentation (50 guests) or as an empty room.
The West Room is a light and airy meeting room located next to the Library. It looks out over the beautiful West Garden and its fountain. (The room is not suitable for children's crafts due to light coloured carpet)

Patmos Lodge Meeting Room

  • Seats up to 40 guests
  • Flat screen TV
  • Self-contained accessible toilet facility
  • Hot drinks preparation area
A short walk from the accommodation areas and main house: The Patmos Lodge Meeting Room is conveniently situated next to the main car park, is set apart from the main building and ideal for groups needing a quiet setting. The meeting room can seat up to 40 guests. The large wall-mounted Flat screen TV can be connected to a lap top. It has a self-contained coffee area and toilet facility.

Prayer Centre Upper Meeting Room

  • Seats up to 25 guests
  • First floor meeting room with views over gardens and stable yard
  • Projector
The Upper Meeting Room is part of the Prayer Centre, surrounded by the beautiful stable yard area and over-looking the West Garden. This conference room seats 25 and has a large wall-mounted monitor for presentations.
