Individual Guest Bookings
We will re-open accommodation from 17th May for individual retreats. From this date, we can offer accommodation and dining based on the guidelines for rule of 6 or 2 households meeting together inside. Our welcome lounge can be used as long as distancing from people that are not within your party.
Pre Arrival Check & Arrival
Prior to arrival, we ask guests only to travel to Ashburnham Place if they are healthy and have not experienced any of the symptoms related to Covid-19 for the safety and wellbeing of those on-site. If you are unable to travel please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements. Residential guests should not attempt to travel to us until a date the Government has confirmed we can accept guests again. From 17 May, We are only able to accommodate guests that are travelling to Ashburnham Place from a UK destination or arriving from an international destination that are on the Government’s green list.
We have guest hand sanitiser stations at entrances, Infrared Forehead Thermometer for checking for high temperatures if needed and protective screens up at reception. Guidelines require guests to wear face coverings in public areas in hotels and other accommodation. This includes our reception, welcome lounge and corridor areas.
We have enhanced cleaning procedures in place that include using antiviral disinfectant, increased cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas and bedrooms, Guest hand sanitiser stations at entrances and at dining rooms, training of all team members on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing and anti-bacterial touch plates on doors with high-frequency use. En-suite accommodation currently meets capacity requirements and standard rooms only used where dedicated showers can be offered. Bedrooms from 17th May can have 2 households or subject to the rule of 6. To minimise contact, housekeeping teams will not enter bedrooms during your stay. If you wish to have more tea and coffee supplies these are available in the main house.
As an “accommodation venue” where we offer services and facilities for individual retreats we can have the capacity agreed for each room in order to maintain social distancing. A protective screen is in place in the conservatory dining room for individual guests. Our dining room capacity from 17th May will be 50 in Oak Dining Room, 40 in The Conservatory, 20 in the Courtyard and 35 in the Cedar Dining Room. There will be changes to our service of food at mealtimes for residential guests in order to minimise shared contact of equipment. Please be aware that the service of food will be slower at this time as we try to implement these measures. Face coverings are needed in the dining room unless you are seated and eating/drinking.
Hand Washing, Sanitiser and Masks
You will notice hand sanitiser dispensers around the main house; we encourage you to use these as much as possible to protect yourselves
and others. In line with the national Covid-19 measures, we ask that you wear masks when in public indoor areas (except those exempt from wearing a mask) and please thoroughly wash your hands regularly. We thank you for your co-operation.
We have tried our best to put in place measures that allow us to welcome guests for a self-led prayer retreat in self-contained accommodation until the Government allow us to open fully and offer our regular service. We thank you for your patience with us at this time.
