VACANCY FOR PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST
Department: Conference Services
Main Purpose of Job:
To welcome guests, process bookings and deal with face to face and telephone enquiries
Responsible to: Assistant Director - Conference Services
Line Manager: Bookings Manager
Reports to: Reception Supervisor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests
- Process bookings for individual guests
- Receive and process payments
- Deal with face-to-face and telephone enquiries
- Carry out administrative duties pertaining to the role
- Provide bookshop cover as required
- Carry out any other duties that may be required
- Provide holiday and sickness cover (Monday to Sunday) as required for early or late shift
- To play a part in the Spiritual life of Ashburnham Community including Community days and Continuous Prayer
The position is part-time working two shifts per week, from 8.30 -15.15hrs (this includes a 15 minute paid break and a 30 minute unpaid meal break).

VACANCY FOR FULL TIME SERVICE TEAM SUPERVISOR/DUTY MANAGER
Ashburnham Place is a Christian Prayer and Conference centre accommodating up to 290 guests. It is run by a team of around 80 staff who include international gap year young people (volunteers) taking part in a Christian discipleship programme and permanent salaried staff. This vacancy may be suitable for someone without experience but with appropriate skills who would like training and experience in this area.
Responsible to Assistant Director-Conference Services
Line Manager House Manager
Responsibilities Work with andsupervise ateam of volunteers to serve all meals and light
refreshments to guests and to oversee the cleaning and set up of public
areas including conference rooms, toilets and offices and staff areas.
Plan and prepare daily work schedules
Duty Management on a rota basis (shifts 7.30am-3.30pm or 3.00pm-11.00pm)
Attend communication meetings as required
Other duties as required
Conditions 40 hours per week spread over 5 days including weekend working and some
evenings.
Holiday entitlement: 28 days (includes bank holidays)
Contributory pension scheme after 3 months

Vacancy for Assistant Housekeeper-Part time

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Housekeeper to join the team responsible for guest accommodation
Responsible to Assistant Director-Conference Services
Line Manager House Manager
Responsibilities Supervising a team of volunteers and employed staff to ensure that all
guest accommodation in Ashburnham Place is prepared and serviced
to a high standard.
Work in the in–house laundry
Planning work schedules
Some involvement in Food and Beverage service to guests.
Other duties as required
Conditions 24 hours per week spread over 3 days. Weekend working and occasional
evenings.
Holiday entitlement: 17days, this includes bank holidays which are worked
unless booked to be taken as leave
Contributory pension scheme after 3 months
Meals on Duty
