Accommodation

Accommodation is normally available in Patmos Lodge for individuals wanting to pray. This opened in May 2008 and offers 18 twin bedded rooms with en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities in each room.

Sometimes guests coming to pray may be offered alternative accommodation around the centre.


Catering

Patmos Lodge accommodation is available on a Bed & Breakfast, Half Board or Full Board basis. Please see the tariff for current prices. There are no self-catering facilities.


Meals

  • Breakfast is available to all individual guests
  • Other meals must be booked in advance (See tariff for prices)
  • All meals are served in the main conference centre, which is a 170 metre walk from the Prayer Centre or Patmos Lodge.
  • Medically essential diets can be catered for if booked in advance; please provide full details at the time of booking.

 

Arrival and Departure

Resident guests are welcome to check in to their accommodation from 2.30pm onwards; please register at Reception in the main conference centre.

Guests wishing to arrive earlier are welcome to use the other Prayer Centre facilities before this time. Guests are asked to arrive before 9.45pm, as reception closes at 10.00pm.

Resident guests are required to vacate their bedrooms by 10.00am on the day of departure, although you are welcome to continue to use the other Prayer Centre facilities after vacating the accommodation.

The Prayer Garden

The fragrant Prayer Garden is within the Victorian walled garden, and offers a peaceful place to pray. A restored Victorian glasshouse offers a beautiful place to sit in inclement weather.

 The Prayer Houses

The restoration of the old pump houses beside the River Ashbourne has created additional prayer space. We are grateful to the many guests and supporters who contributed towards this project, which was completed in 2004. The two prayer rooms are of a simple style, with no electricity or sleeping facilities, but are ideal for individuals or groups of up to six who wish to pray in the beautiful woodlands. 8.30am to 9.30pm daily; keys are obtainable upon payment of a refundable £10 deposit at Reception.
